Why Mar-a-thon?

With two outdoor rings, and friendly, understanding instructors, riders of all ages are taught at novice, and also more advanced levels. Novice sessions are available for adults as well as children.

It is our belief that, since most people ride for relaxation and recreation, enjoyment and safety must be paramount.  Thus, sound riding and horse management skills, patiently taught at each person's comfort level, produce riders confident in their own progress and abilities.

With well-schooled horses suited to each person's experience, riders progress confidently in their individualized programs.  Instructors work patiently with riders without high-stress teaching techniques.

Roomy box stalls with year-round waterers are available for boarding.  Horses have individualized feed rations, and enjoy daily turnout. Partial or full-time seasonal pasture is also available.

Tack is securely kept in the Tack Room.  The heated Club Room, with kitchen facilities, comfortably looks out into both riding rings.

Several care options for boarding are available, including special accommodation for horses that are: convalescent after illness or injury, requiring lots of TLC for stress victims,  or needing foal care and supportive handling and/or co-operative training.
